22nd International Railway Safety Conference
Exclusively devoted to rail safety issues, the International Railway Safety Conference (IRSC) in 2012 is jointly hosted by RSSB, Network Rail and the Office of Rail Regulation. It provides a platform for rail safety professionals to come together to share their knowledge and experiences in a global forum.
Welcome to the ISRC 2012 Conference website. The event will be held in Great Britain - the birthplace of railways and will run from Monday 8th to Wednesday 10th October 2012 at the St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel, preceded by a welcome reception on Sunday 7th October and with Thursday 11th and Friday 12th involving off-site technical visits.
The conference will begin with a welcome reception on Sunday evening 7th October 2012 in the St. Pancras Novotel, which is located a short distance from the conference venue and one of the two hotels at which preferential accommodation rates have been negotiated for conference delegates. The Novotel will simultaneously host the Global Level Crossing and Trespass Symposium (GLXS) and be the main registration centre for delegates to both conferences.
For the first time the IRSC will combine with the GLXS, for part of the programme and conference functions, so delegates at both events can look forward to networking with an even wider range of railway safety experts.
Following the first day of the conference, delegates will enjoy a gala dinner at London's historic Guildhall. Tuesday evening will be free for delegates to experience the city of London at their leisure and there will be a networking event at the Paramount, sponsored by the International Union of Railways (UIC), on Wednesday 10th October to close the three-day formal part of the conference.
We look forward to welcoming you to London.
